Don’t Completley Write off Reality

All this bullshit your primary school teachers tell you about a god, is the worst. There is no god up there or down there – however you want to see it. There is no one up there controlling your fate and ensuring you live a life that you have earned. Bad things happens to good people every single day. No matter how hard you work to get where you are, or how much good you do in this world, there is absolutely nothing stopping a desperate stranger or a natural disaster from tearing that apart.

I use to always believe and swear by this one quote I came across when I was quite young. ‘Everything happens for a reason, people change so you learn to let go, things do go wrong so you can appreciate them when they are right, you believe lies so that eventually you learn to trust no one but yourself and sometimes things fall apart so that better things fall together’. Everything may not happen for a reason but sure as hell you can learn from every loss or mistrust you have encountered and take something positive away from it. The reality is that the only person who is going to change ones fate is themselves; not some god.

Don’t ever be afraid to take a chance, if things don’t work out the way you had hoped, don’t get angry or upset with yourself, accept it as a life lesson. Make mistakes because mistakes are memories which are made by living your life. So don’t over think life, just let it happen. I want to spend my time on this earth building a journey, a story, a life of taking risks and making mistakes. Fear makes people cautious and a cautious life is one of many wasted opportunities.
